Our Vision &Thematic Areas

The Materials Physics Research Institute (MPRI) aims to establish itself as a leading research entity engaged in cutting-edge fundamental and goal-oriented applied research and innovation. To effectively align our resources and research objectives, we have organised our focus into three thematic areas known as Field Work Projects (FWP);

  • Materials for energy applications: This FWP will focus on the optimization of current as well as the development of future materials for energy generation, conversion, transformation, and storage.
  • Novel quantum and applied materials: Exploration of novel quantum ground states and the development of functional applied materials is the main theme of this FWP.
  • Low-dimensional applied materials: Design, development, and optimization of materials with restricted dimensions will fall under this FWP.
