Free Family Make-and-Create at WAM meets Make-a-Book with the JGCBA Zine: Everyday heros

image Bring the whole family to WAM this Saturday 8 November 2025 from 11:30 – 13:00 as we celebrate the heroes in our everyday lives in this special crossover between our Free Family Make-and-Create and Make-a-Book workshop. Free parking is available in the garage beneath the museum. Join JGCBA librarian Ciara and experienced WAM docents Pam and Elona as they guide you through the exhibition Rainbow Nation Comics presents YOUNG NELSON: Renewal/Rejuvenation. Together, you’ll design your very own zine bringing your heroes to life through drawing, collage, and storytelling. This hands-on workshop is perfect for kids, teens, and families — no experience needed, just your imagination. Explore playful ways to illustrate and share stories about the people who make your community brighter.
